For Southern Distilling it was being able to tell a story filled with a rich history, bringing NC back to its roots in whiskey distilling. Telling a story of down to Earth people who have a commitment to supporting the farmers in their own state. People who have confidence in their product that needed to come through without a sense of false bravado. Pete and Vienna Barger are very passionate and proud of what they have built in Statesville, NC. And rightfully so. They make damn fine whiskies.
